On Friday 16/05, the SoilValues Community of Practice meeting in Serbia took place in Sombor, hosted by the The Association of Balkan Eco-Innovation. The event focused on the costs and benefits of switching to regenerative agriculture, offering farmers first-hand insights into how others have managed the transition.
👥 Regenerative farmers Ivan Sudarević, Teodor Baloš, and Florian Farkaš shared concrete data and personal experiences from the field, highlighting:
🔹 How they reduced mineral fertilizer use and fuel consumption
🔹 The importance of well-planned direct sowing techniques
🔹 Economic outcomes in the first years of transition
🔹 Early signs of improvement in soil structure and crop quality
Strong participation and meaningful exchanges made it clear: interest in regenerative agriculture is growing — and farmers are eager for practical, locally grounded knowledge to guide the way.
